Apakah yang dimaksudkan meter pukal?
Meter pukal adalah meter utama yang digunakan oleh rumah kediaman bertingkat yang akan diambil bacaan oleh pihak syarikat air. Bacaanya adalah pengunaan keseluruhan kediaman bertingkat tersebut.
Bil air tersebut akan diserahkan kepada badan pengurusan bangunan (JMB) dan seterusnya JMB akan mengira purata mengikut bilangan unit dan mengutip caj daripada penghuni-penghuni untuk membayar bil air tersebut.
Last year, consumers had been announced by the government that the electricity tariff for domestic and industry will be increase starting the year of 2016 due to the rebate cut by 33% which is reduced from 2.25 cent per kW/h to 1.52 cent per kW/h.
A cut in the power tariff rebate for peninsular Malaysia will see consumers paying 0.73 cent more per kW/h for the first six months of this year. However, the rebate for Sabah and Sarawak remain the same at 1.20 cent per kW/h.
The rising hike is due to the high price of coal and liquefied natural gas (LNG). Since Malaysia depends on these sources of energy in order to generate electricity, the country needs to use the global market price of coal and LNG.

Bauxite is a rock that mainly composed of various minerals. Most important bauxite is the primary ore for aluminum (Al). Aluminum is a very crucial element as the uses of aluminum is varied and diverse. Aluminum is used in transportation, household, packaging, power lines and construction. In Malaysia, the active bauxite mining is located in Gebeng, Pahang. The mine while strengthening the economy and as well as serving as a lucrative source of income for many people, is also causing intense suffering to the local people.
Bauxite mining indeed has causes the pollution around Bukit Goh, Gebeng and Kuantan Port. For months, certain areas in the district, particularly Bukit Goh, have suffered serious air pollution from bauxite dust and residue released by the processing plants or leaked during transportation to Kuantan Port. Bauxite dust and residue also has polluted and damaged the road.

A scam is defined as a dishonest scheme or a fraud. While there are many types of scams, the top two scams currently, are job scams and love scams. Many people have suffered losses due to such fraud. In the year 2015, almost RM200 million losses have been reported lost in scams. Highly advanced technology and internet today has become catalysts in scamming people. The scammers trick the victims through online transaction because it is difficult for the police to track them as certainly they will use a fake identity and fake profile picture.
Love scammers normally take advantage of people looking for romantic partners, often via dating websites, apps or social media by pretending to be prospective companions. They play on emotional triggers to get the victims to provide money, gifts or personal details. A love scam is not easy to detect. With most people chatting online and finding their partners through online dating sites, it is difficult to distinguish a genuine person from a scammer. However, there are a few signs to indicate a love scammer.
Pada 8 Januari 2016, Menteri Sains, Teknologi dan Inovasi, YB Datuk Seri Panglima Madius Tangau telah membuat kenyataan media bahawa cuaca panas dijangka sehingga Mac 2016. Menurut kenyataan media tersebut, Perlis dan Kedah sedang mengalami cuaca panas dan kering, dengan suhu antara 33°C hingga 36°C, di mana akan turut dirasai seluruh Semenanjung, Sabah dan Sarawak.
Kejadian ini dikaitkan dengan fenomena El Nino kuat yang sedang berlaku dan dijangka akan berterusan sehingga suku pertama tahun 2016. El Nino adalah kejadian kemarau yang berpanjangan di sebabkan pemanasan suhu permukaan laut yang berlaku dalam tempoh yang lama di timur Lautan Pasifik.
Malaysia is a blessed country. We received an abundance of rainfall per year and we rich with water resources. 97% of water resources in Malaysia are surface water meanwhile another 3% is groundwater.
Fortunately, for the past few months the water level in several dams crucial in Selangor has showed some significant increase such as in Sungai Selangor and Tasik Subang. The water capacity is surely enough for the next few years.
However, Malaysians still should conserve the water. In 2013, the average water consumption per day of Malaysians was 210 liters. However in 2014, the average consumption has rose up by 2 liters which meant 212 liters or about 141 bottles of 1.5 liters per person daily.
